Tube: “VH1 Rock Honors: The Who” gets Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, more

VH1 has just confirmed that critically acclaimed, multi-platinum rock bands Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters along with the Grammy Award-winning rock band The Flaming Lips will perform at the network’s third annual "VH1 Rock Honors" celebration honoring legendary rock band The Who. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the efforts of multiple charities including The Teenage Cancer Trust, the Double O Charity, VH1 Save The Music Foundation and select VH1 Classic Rock Autism organizations.

"VH1 Rock Honors: The Who" airs Thursday, July 17 at 9pm.  Tickets for the Who’s fan club, cleverly dubbed the “WHOLIGANS”, on Friday, June 6 and will be up for sale to the public that following Sunday.  We’re wondering what kind of backstage shenanigans could possibly arise between Wayne Coyne and a dude like Jeff Ament.  Probably just talk of facial hair, if you ask us.  Also, tickets are being sold by Ticketmaster, so, has Eddie Vedder given up on his whole fight about antitrust laws, etc.?
