mp-FREE: new The Streets – “The Escapist”

Six years into his career, four albums completed (as of the dropping of September’s Everything Is Borrowed LP), Mike Skinner is still not done chronicling the life and times of a British citizen.  The loves and losses, the heartache and wonder, the drugs and sobering truths, The Streets has always been well on top of this game.  And with this track, "The Escapist" (check the video out), we continue to know why.  Soulful, somber and yet, totally refreshing and clean, "The Escapist" is the perfect trip-home soundtrack, an accompaniment that anyone with headphones on during all of those interludes in life can immediately seize hold of.  It’s trademark parable-style that we’ve come to know and love and almost expect from Skinner, and he doesn’t fail to come through.
