The Rub has sort of become an institution in the world of monthly dance parties in New York City, running since 2002 in many different iterations. But the goal remains the same. Get people to hang out and rock their shit exhausted. Bringing on some of the best DJs in the party scene over the years, they’ve certainly been going strong enough to outlast most. We stopped by their 3rd annual holiday party at a warehouse space that was as beautiful as it was sparse. DJ Ayres, Cosmo Baker and DJ Eleven also brought out an appearance from hip hop legend D-Nice (a DJ set only, but whatevs) and the kids were going wild on the dancefloor, even if it was skin-numbingly cold outside.
