Download: Animal Collective – “My Girls (Dave Wrangler remix)”

We're totally going to try and stay out of the indie rock circle-jerk that's become of our community in response to the latest album from Animal Collective, Merriweather Post Pavilion.  While we've always appreciated the band's constantly shifting idea of sonics and their intense obsession with doing things as differently as possible while still remaining even a little accessible, we're nowhere near getting, well, up in arms about this new effort.  We will, however, tell you that "My Girls", easily the album's most pop-tinged song and the one likely to be the track that most listeners will get behind, is also our favorite.  And since we just got a remix of it from the likely-to-be-mistaken-for-a-bro Dave Wrangler which just so happens to be sufficiently synthy and laid-back (like Animal Collective themselves) for our tastes, we figured it'd be good to share.
