After a year-end break, the dudes at Happy Endings Thursday night takeover, Steam Machine, came back for their first party of 2009.  And to start things off with as big a bang necessary, they brought out special guest DJ Lady Byrd, who, if you know anything of NYC nightlife, had been a reliable staple of the scene until she moved away a little while back.  It was great to have Ally back in town behind the decks and combining her set with residents Sean MF’n Roberts and rekLES, it made for an excellent night.
