Seriously vying for the single of the year categorization, the newest song from Johnny Foreigner off of their new disc Grace And The Bigger Picture, “Criminals”, is a shared-boy/girl-vocals, power-chord-heavy straight-forward mess of indie rock shouts, ringing guitars, pulsing drumlines, calls and responses and anthemic means to vicious ends. It’s as promising a premise for indie rock from overseas as we’ve seen in the calendar year. The Birmingham, UK-based trio will be playing all over their native Isles this coming fall.
