Covers are murder #10

Thanks to a post on the Village Voice's blog "Sound Of The City", we were pointed in the direction of the Zane Lowe BBC Radio One show this past week, wherein the docksider-wearing Columbia grads Vampire Weekend talked Contra and played some tunes in the studio, one of which is this terrifying, dizzying cover of Rancid's proper, legendary first single "Ruby Soho", from that band's 1995 watershed record, …And Out Come The Wolves. We're a little sick to our stomachs, and to be honest, it's irregardless of this clip, which shows Ezra Koenig assisting Fucked Up in covering both Blitz and Descendents' "Parents".

Godspeed!
