Stream: Max Justus - “Flesh”
You guys, we’ve been talking about how great the singer, songwriter, programmer, multi-instrumentalist, etc. Max Justus is for God knows how long (OK, God said over two years now, so there) and today we get a bleeping, blooping, crunching and blipping new song from him called “Flesh”, off of the upcoming four-song EP Signs & Wonders, and boy are we super excited by both the song and what’s to come on the EP.
First off, Justus is employing more help on Signs & Wonders, with other musicians lending their skills and Justus is creating a more live-set-ready affair, with more percussion and a less dark oeuvre in total, gleaning a lot of the helplessness and downtrodden aspects of previous compositions for a much more sunny disposition. That’s not saying that it’s all roses, but you can definitely tell that the shades have changed from the more bleak grays to a much more reddened, softened palette.
