But seriously you guys, aren’t you just as thrilled with how Mattie Safer had gone and left The Rapture, stayed in the lab and just sort of came out of incubation all full of piss and vinegar and the funkiest shit you’ve heard in the longest time? You should be, and another nail in that signpost is here with his feature on the Beni track “Someone Just Like You” (off the debut effort House of Beni, out on Modular October 11), which pairs the duo in future-funk heaven, all golden and spirited, with yearning for love and swearing to it in the same hurried breath.
