News: Skrillex is dropping his new “Bangarang” EP tomorrow
Coming via his own label, OWSLA, the “Bangarang” EP has been long in the making this year, and it’s finally done and ready to get released tomorrow. Having just released news of a new slew of “Mothership” tour dates in the US, Skrillex is obviously riding big waves on the Web right now.

Video: Skream feat. Sam Frank - “Anticipate”
A popping and locking spaceman of sorts inhabits the world in the video for the latest tune to come from the OWSLA camp (cf. Skrillex) from the arbiter of dubstep music from its beginnings, Skream, who lets Sam Frank feature on the song, which resembles a lot of the poppier half-step music coming out as of late. We’re not mad at the video or at the broadening of Skream’s range lookout, even if purists will call it all “rubbish”. They can bitch all they want, because the kids will love this endlessly, moving on the dance floor with great abandon.

Video: Zedd - “Shave It (teaser)”
Another of the signings to the Skrillex-run sort-of label/distribution entity OWSLA, Zedd is dropping a single on October 4 titled, you guessed it, “Shave It”, and now there’s a teaser for the release that you can see above to get you in the mood for the single. The German kid has been killing the remix and edit game lately, so this single should solidify that sort of climb.

Video: Porter Robinson - “Spitfire”
What a way to make your first official video and thereby your entrance into the world of cultural takeover. Nineteen-year-old Porter Robinson has unveiled the video clip for his aggressive electro track “Spitfire” with an equally aggressive video treatment—that of a live-action paintball competition matched with video game graphic overlays and technology achieved by shooting with the Phantom camera. “Spitfire” is barely two minutes long, but you’re hooked immediately with the video, watching speeds change and points-of-view shift, all while banging out to the song. Oh, also, the clip was shot in one take, so there’s that.

News: Porter Robinson is releasing his debut EP, “Spitfire”
Young up-and-coming electronic dance music producer Porter Robinson just finished signing with Skrillex’s new OWSLA “project” (read: record label or distribution of some kind) and now the first release from that collaborative project is the debut EP from Robinson, Spitfire. Six new songs and remixes from Kill The Noise, Downlink, Knife Party and more, Spitfire will be out on Beatport next Tuesday, September 13.
